02Technical-training levelsWhat is generally covered at each stage of training.
Safety, tools, drawings, estimating, materials, machining, laminating, cabinet assembly and surface preparation.
Work organization, cabinet and furniture construction, finishing, site modifications, cabinet and countertop installation.
Automated/CNC equipment, curved components, veneering, advanced finishing, stairs, balustrades and solid-surface installation.
Advanced CNC, architectural millwork, veneer, curved/decorative work, mouldings, installation and restoration.

- Levels 1–3: 80% in-school and 20% standardized exam; in-school assessment generally 20% theory and 80% practical.
- Level 4: 40% theory and 60% practical, followed by the Red Seal exam.
- Minimum 70% required.

- Approximately 750 hours or 25 weeks.
- Certificate of Completion, Level 1 credit and 475 work-based hours.
